I have a leak in my bmw 1 series, the leak is on the passenger side and leaks from the glovebox and door. I’ve read every thread online and still not getting anywhere, has anyone had anything similar if so can you please point me in the right direction. Any comments is much appreciated

Is it kept outside? Blocked drain channels? Sunroof leaking?

I should have mentioned I don’t have a sunroof and I do keep it outside over night, been covering the car over night to try prevent more water getting in. I’ve removed a panel next to the door and the waters soaked underneath my seat I will upload some photos for more information, thanks for the replies!

Door Vapour barrier detached? Water drains below the windscreen clogged with leaves?

I’m start to think the vapor barrier might be the suspect, but would that cause water to go down the panel next to my glove box/door (which I’ve pictured) and even into my glove box at times? Will replace the vabor barrier just for peace of mind. Thanks all replies are much appreciated.

I don't know if it applies to the 1 Series, but on the 5 series, there is a grommet in the bulkhead on the nearside, where the steering column would go through on a left hand drive car. The drains from the windscreen run through a cover over the grommet and when they get blocked, the water finds its' way past it into the nearside of the car. Just a thought?
