Good news. I've been accepted into the preview for the MS game streaming system https://www.xbox.com/en-GB/xbox-game-streaming

Bad news. I haven't got a newer Bluetooth Xbox controller to use it yet. Hopefully there will be some Black Friday offers somewhere soon.

It works from games on the cloud (like Google Stadia) or from games on your own console, sent to an Android phone/tablet app to play them with said BT controller connected. 50 games are on there available to play for the preview.

Well I've got myself a controller today, and so far xCloud is working pretty well. It does prefer 5ghz WiFi over 2.4ghz, so a bit of fiddling with the router settings fixed that. It wasn't a good connection over 2.4ghz, it paused, lagged and disconnected a few times.

From the cloud games list, I had a go of Forza Horizon 4, Just Cause 4 and F1 2019. Forza gave it the most trouble, I think it's the amount of data from constantly moving around the open world on the map at speed. Just Cause and F1 were fine, so my thinking is the smaller area and set map of these games isn't so data heavy. Controls were fast enough for me not to notice lag between my thumbs and the screen movement. I don't do FPS games though, so someone good and precise with those may find an 0.whatever delay in that kind of thing that I'd be too crap at the game to notice hehe
