carbon can is in the inner front offside wing, under the headlight.

There is an access panel in that location within the engine bay for you to get at it.

Hope this helps

On my '95 Chimaera the carbon cannister is in the space between the front grille and the radiator. You need to remove one or the other to get at it - I suggest the grille!

It is located on the driver's side and looks like a big air filter (I think). Don't confuse with the, er, big airfilter on the passenger side which is, er, a big airfilter. I'll shut up now.

qube's instructions 'might' be for the newer model (with the bar across the front in place of a grille.

Thanks for the replies guys ,i pulled the grille off and behold there was nothing there except the alarm, air filter and washer bottle, i had a torch and searched behind the headlamps but to no avail, but i did find a petrol pipe on the driver's side inner wing connected to nothing just sitting there looking at me, two questions has it been moved to a new mysterious place where only tvr know about ?, or have they forgotten to put one in ?.

It is inside the wing. Remove radiator to get to panel. Can get squeeze it without but swine of a job. Piccies in the bible naturally. The pipe is probably the air breather.

According to 'the bible' (Steve Heath's book on the Griff & Chimaera), it's a cannister containing a carbon filter which is used to filter petrol fumes from the tank before they escape to the atmosphere. It is located inside the driver's side front wing behind a panel right down near the rad - and according to the book again, it's generally left alone!

I've had a look for this panel and can't find it, also looked in bible for pics and can't see any panel to remove on the inner wing behind the grill or any screws lurking behind the radiator.

Sounds as if you have had one and someone has taken it out. They are expensive and disconnecting them is the bodge way of solving the problem and money. They are big about 6-8 inches in diameter and about 8-10 inches high.
