Will this Pressure gauge do what I want on my BW35?
Discussion
I have a classic car with a Borg Warner 35 automatic gearbox. I want to check the fluid pressure so that I can put the crimp on the kick down cable in the correct position. There is a take off on the rear of the automatic gearbox and the manual lists the pressures at various rpm and how to adjust the cable before crimping it.
There are various gauges advertised as being for measuring automatic transmission pressures but these all seem to be 300psi (or even 500psi). the pressures I need to measure are all well under 100psi.
Can I use this gauge? I think I can but it advertises as an engine oil pressure gauge rather than an auto transmission one.
Thoughts?

Just find a pressure gauge of the correct range & with a useable fitting, you should be able to find one for well under £10.
You say well under 100 psi, so in that case you don't want a 100 psi gauge anyway. You should use a range that means your maximum is around 75% of the full scale of the gauge. eg the manual says up to 45 psi, then you probably want a 60 psi gauge.
It really doesn't matter what they say it is for, they all use a metal bourdon tube or diaphragm to register the pressure so will work just fine.
