Did he ever go back or what’s his present situation?

Not been back since, but still does a spot of racing now and then, did the Spa round of the British GT championship last year in a GT4 Mustang

He was backed by Nissan I thought and they had a disastrous 2015 LMP1 campaign and announced they were pulling out of that well before 2016 race. Nissan engines (developed with Gibson) were main supplier for LMP2 for 2015 and 2016 (when Hoy was there) but Gibson got contract for 2017 with their engine.
