I can't see a 2019 thread on this yet (well apart from the computer forum, which this isn't) so thought I'd start one.

However, I'm not sure I was ready for this scale of saving.

Ain't that the truth. 10 days on from placing my order, it's still "processing" and customer services aren't replying to queries. Last order was cancelled after DHL completely and repeatedly failed to deliver it. This morning they tell me "please review us - your opinion is important to us"...

i take it that code is for an extra 30% off ontop of whatever is on sale in the black friday sale right? do u know how long that code is valid for?

That's right. I got a total of 50% off the stuff I bought and ends 4 December so you've got a bit of time.

A bit of a detour - sorry OP but don't want to start another thread on it.

Is it me or is Black Friday all a bit quiet bordering on completely non existent this year ?
It's as if it's had it time in past years and is now over

I also think retailers have realised it's much easier to spread out any discounts over a week or two weeks+ in order to take the load off their distribution systems (& stores).

Been thinking about a new vacuum (Glamourous aren't I? ) SO figured I'd wait until the deals arrive.

Shark do a decent one with a RRP of £479.

Amazons "Black Friday" is a whole £1.98 cheaper than Currys "Black Tag" event, which is the same price as Argos (299.99) Sounds good until you discover CamelCamelCamel actually says it was cheaper earlier this month!

Which? Reported today that only 1 in 20 Black Friday deals are genuine.

Everything else has been available for the same price of less before.

Phone them up to avoid them ignoring your responses. Could be worth cancelling your order, reordering the same stuff (assuming it's about the same sort of price) then click and collect it.

Strange, and by coincidence I've just had the stuff I ordered on Sunday delivered to me which was 20% off in the sale then an additional 30% when I added a code.
