Hi all

Ive got an F11 520d M Sort Touring. Had since it was one of BM's demo cars, and love it.
I've just gone through the rear air spring/rear suspension compressor part of its life. All good again now - in fact, I replaced both, with new, so it basically has brand new rear suspension setup!

Anyway. It got me thinking.
What options are there to better the feel of the car?

A) Sport ahocks , such as Bilstein ?
Or
B) Lower it, maybe just 10mm, to stiffen the ride?

Any thoughts, anyone?
And what have you guys done, if you have already?

Look forward to receiving your views and stories
Cheers

I have an SE with the adaptive damping, so maybe not a like-for-like comparison, but I replaced the front springs with Eibachs, and lowered the rear by 20mm (laptop job). I drive in Comfort mostly, and the ride quality has not suffered at all. It still needs a stiffer anti-roll bar up front to prevent oversteer, but I only notice it needs the ARB during my very (very) occasional times I've driven it hard.

Agree with the comment about the front ARB. My 2013 F11 also has standard damping and it's not great. I had a 2014 loan version whilst an air spring was replaced under warranty and that was much improved. I would change dampers first and then go from there
