I seem to have an incontinent screen wash system.

I just topped up the reservoir and by the time I had put the screen wash back on the shelf, closed the bonnet and locked the car, there was a pool of water under the front of the car.

So I added more water and had a look underneath. There was a small trickle coming out from somewhere in front of the radiator on the passenger side, roughly in the same position as the wash reservoir (drivers side).

It's too cold and wet to be rolling around on the floor so further investigation will have to wait.

But is there any pipe routing that goes that way from the reservoir as my guess is a loose or split pipe.

thanks

Could be a split pipe or the pump has worked its way out of the sealing grommet.
Not sure what year your car is but its very accessible on mine through the larger grille opening.

This is what is fitted to the Griff' in the engine bay not infront of the rad' as in the Chim'.

This is from a Fiesta Mk2/XR2/Ghia front reservoir and is one I just buggered the one fixing getting it off the Griff' to make room for radiator removal. I was going to reuse it using a collared washer but found a replacement bottle instead.
How did I bust it? well some Gorrila overtightened one of the fixings into the bobbin embedded into the GRP and it needed a breaker bar to loosen it but turned the bobbin in the GRP so I had to resort to drilling and grinding the bolt head off and the lug got to hot! and melted a bit!.

I should know if they are the same on both models 'cause I've only recently reffited one on the Chim' I just sold but my memory fails me.

If they are the same bottle and you need one, you now know where there is one.

cool

Just came to mind it's different on the Chim' it slides on and off a bracket and is filled via a pipe under the bonnet.idea

Thanks - if it ever dries up I will have a good look through the grill and underneath.

I don't think it is likely to be the bottle itself as the dribble was well away under the opposite side.

Water will happily run along the radiator and find a way out the other side.

It could simply be over filling and escaping out then going which ever way provides an easy path.
