Hello.

I have purchased a DBS Superleggera and noticed some stone chips just in front of the rear arch. Previous Aston's I've owned have had PFF film there. Is my car missing that or is it standard not to have it?

Congrats with your car!

Pity you already have chips...... I did see it as a (no cost) option to remove(!) this PFF film, but I indeed assume it come standard with it..........maybe different per area/region?

Thank you.

I'm UK. Just looked at the spec sheet and it's been deleted. Not sure why. Will speak to the dealer.

I always delete the option as I have the car detailed and ppf'd so saves them the trouble. Maybe the previous owner did the same but never got round to filming.

I know a couple of people who have bought DBSS and they have suffered even worse on the rear wheel arches. In both cases Aston were sympathetic to sorting the issue out. I have done the same as Bananarob on the past few cars. Not much help but I am sure you will get a sympathetic hearing form your dealer.

The rear arches definitely need some protection as they are getting the most debris.

So I assume this is a used Timeless pre-owned DBS and you're the victim of poor choice by the original owner? Or did the dealer delete it when they specc'd the car?

Yes, previous owner was Aston Martin Marketing. It would have been nice if the dealer had warned me.

I saw a red one in Liverpool at the weekend, first one I’ve seen in the metal. Looked fabulous parked at the kerbside.
One day. I will have to enjoy yours vicariously!

I had a Vanquish before but really like it. Fantastic drive. A lot of power and great styling. Not so sure about the centre console but I’ve had car play installed which has made a huge difference. I’m still fond of my Vanquish. The styling was very special and quite unique.

Yes, it does. The only thing that I'm not that keen on is the bluetooth connection to my phone for calls. I need to switch it on hitting the Tel button on the centre console. But that's really minor. The rest of it is excellent. I think they should sell this as a pack to dealers to install.
