BMW X3 35D F25 adblue

Hi All,

Very quick one. Can't seem to find definitive information online and forums suggest both scenarios.

Does a BMW X3 F25 series with the 35D engine have adblue or not? Some forums hint that American ones do but European ones don't.

No it’s the model I’ve got or if it does I’ve never noticed !

Filling adblue is something you can do yourself so there will be a filler cap somewhere on the car. Any I have seen were located behind the fuel flap and beside the fuel filler cap. So if your car needs adblue the filler will be fairly obvious.

Adblue is NOT to be confused with eolys, which is an additive used on Peugeot and some Ford diesels. Eolys is more expensive and more hazardous and is usually done by a mechanic.

I have the 2017 X3 35d and no ad blue. Very strange but the 30d variant has ad blue. Go figure.

Weird, my wife has a 2017 x3 30d and that has no ad blue!!
