That arent broke but they are poor quality compared to what you expected? Where do you stand with this?

Just bought a soundbar and the sound is absolutely horrendous, there is no depth to the sound at all, its all bass and struggles with mid range and treble, theres no manual adjustment of these settings, just a few preset equalizers and none of them sound good at all.

Can i return on this basis, bd thing cost me 180 quid.

Depends on the seller. Doubt there’s many shops that will be happy for you to use something then decide you don’t like it. I understand your issue here but I don’t think you’ll get much help if the seller doesn’t want it back.

Did you order it online?

If yes, just return it and say you don't want it any more. If you've only used it to test and don't like it they're obliged to take it back.

No bought in store from currys.

A big store chain like currys won't gave a st if you return it.. You're entitled to if it doesn't meet your expectations anyway.

Are you sure? I didn’t think you had a right to return shop bought items just because you had higher expectations?

Depends where you bought it, if you’ve still got the box and receipt I doubt they would notice nor care, most places don’t even ask why you’re returning it


Give it a go, I recently returned a set of curtains to John Lewis and they had been hung up in my living room for a month. Just re packed them and they refunded without even checking them

Currys policy states unopened packaging if bought in store, but as long as you come across as a decent person they should let it slide.

I bought a digital radio from Argos, but couldn’t get reception anywhere in the house and they took it back in its battered box without any issue at all.

Which one is it? I’m thinking of buying one as the sound from our new TV is weird, but reviews are all over the place.

Some guy bought an upgraded headunit for his BMW recently.

2 weeks ago, I think.
Then 2 weeks after purchase, the company selling them offered a black friday / end of year dealing throwing in a reversing camera and a gloss black trim or something, as well as 5% off.
Basically £100.

The guy saw this and posted publically on the FB page of the company, that he wanted the new price honoured on his new purchase.
The company said no but offered 5% back which would have been around 30 quid as a Goodwill gesture.

The guy said this was not acceptable and asked if he could return his goods!

Needless to say those who commented including me called the guy a complete dick head.

I'd definitely be taking it back if it's bad. Maybe you can see if there's a different soundbar that might be better you can swap with as that might be easier.

This is assuming you've not had it for 6 months or something and then changed your mind without any packaging etc.

That said, the average soundbar I've encountered in friends houses have all been st.
