Shocked to hear he has gone.
His cooking was always back seat to his presentation style. He got overtaken by presentation style as per Oliver and Gordon. Shame, he spanned the gap between them and Delia Smith.
If you want to get a great cookery book buy Great British Classics. It's attention to detail crossed with a twist. He put so much effort into it if you repeated his steps exactly you would get the same result.

True. But that’s in the News sub forum. Which not many will frequent...I see him as a Chef first - after all, it’s Food related.
