I have found the reason why my headlight bulbs are always going out of alignment on my W123 Mercedes.
The part that puts pressure on the back of the H4 bulb has had some tabs on it bent. I think this has been done by someone who obviously didn't know how to change the bulb.

In doing so it appears that the spring that should press against the bulb has been lost.
I've found the bosh part number, but it is no longer made.

Does anyone know where I can get a similar type of spring that can possibly modified? Failing that I'll have to try and make one myself.

Have you ever heard of a scrapyard/car breakers yard?

Joking aside, go for a rummage, you will find either the correct one for the correct car or one close enough on another.
