If you have a Porsche extended warranty, does the air con service / regas etc have to be performed by an OPC?

I've had mine recharged elsewhere and renewed the warranty without issue.

How are they going to tell?

If a 3rd party tries to regas your car and manages to damage the system then don’t expect it to be covered but otherwise you are fine.

How far do you want to go with this? Do you only let Porsche pump up your tyres?

Thanks. I won’t worry about it then. Certainly wish to avoid having to use OPCs in my life as much as possible!

In my opinion, when a car is new (first 3 years) or under a manufacture's extended warranty scheme, have it serviced/inspected at the dealer per the manufacturer schedule ... "ramped and stamped" as they say. However, when the dealer says, it "needs" a re-gas / discs / pads / tyres / wiper blades / other consumables, you have a choice: pay them, or pay someone else (and use approved parts), or "pay" yourself (and use approved parts).

Post 3-years or outside of manufacture's extended warranty ... find a good indipendent and only use quality components (approved or OEM).
