How cheap? PBCD cheap? Or council cheap?
£150

Should get updates for a while

£190
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Huawei-MediaPad-Lite-10-I...

Might not get any updates!

£99

You used to be able to debloat the fire tablets to get rid of the adverts and the huge amount of crapware on them, not sure if you still can.

I got an amazon fire for my kid, changed it to remove ad's and work with googleplay the thing runs like a complete dog - unusable, so I am also looking for another Tablet. I have a Huawei phone the Tablets look good value but this whole 'no future' updates puts me off, is it a real issue ?

Was just about to post this in the Black Friday thread but:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/TECLAST-M89-Pro-Processor...

I have a couple of these and they are pretty decent. Certainly worth the £80 they are currently going for,

I’m surprised more people aren’t making tablets optimised for YouTube netflix etc.

I’d love a massive tablet that is widescreen and has a good display.

All the biggest tablets like the biggest iPads aren’t widescreen shaped and are all full of expensive processors and sold as laptop alternatives.

Surely there must be a market for bigger widescreen shaped tablets, like the amazon fire 10 but much larger.

Or is it the larger display that makes it expensive?

I've just bought a Lenovo TB710 to take to hospital next month. Put in a 128gb memory card and loaded it with a few dozen movies and enough music to last a week. Screen's not particularly big, but It'll do all you want. £40 from Currys! Doesn't matter if it goes missing at that price...

Thanks guys.

AIUI, existing Huawei devices will still get updates. The ones mainly affected are devices not released yet, so the Huawei Tablets already out should be ok.

I am tempted by one of the Huawei ones tbh.
