I think you would find the "On Track Experience" of much more limited interest and less value, a good proportion of it is done in the car park and you actually get to ride the track prior before having much in the way of instruction
(I was told this was because of the track insurance not being valid for 12 year olds after 9am!)

I was in the same position as you this year. I’ve ridden on the road for years but never on track. I did the premier experience on the 650 and would thoroughly recommend it. It’s one instructor to two riders. You get three sessions on track. If there is a miss match in speed between you and the person you’re paired with they’ll swap you around. Me and the chap I was paired with were well matched, we were slow! But the instructor was great
Do it! It was great fun I learned a lot about my riding and how different track is to road. I’ll be going back next year, I’ll still be slow

Agree with this, I did it on the 600's at the time, good instructors and in final session I was slower than my other rider so another instructor picked me up and I effectively had a 1:1. Go for it.Do it! It was great fun I learned a lot about my riding and how different track is to road. I’ll be going back next year, I’ll still be slow

i did it years ago when it was on CBR600rrs. The biggest draw of it imo is you can use thier bikes/leathers etc and if you bin it it costs nothing. Personally i think you'll get more out of doing a novice day on track as you'll get twice the amount of track time for half the money and there are instructors there too that will glady give u pointers etc (plus i found the RH day annoying in that we kept having to keep out of the way of the elite groups that were on fireblades with transponders n were chasing better lap times etc).....obviously doing this route tho you'll be using your own bike tho so it comes down to how much your bike is worth, how much confidence you have that you wont bin it etc...or you cud just buy a really cheap track bike.
I recall doing a practice day on my TZ350 on the full Brands Hatch circuit way back when, doing quite well, keeping the 85 bhp Stan Stephens-built water cooled 'stroker between 8 and 11 k rpm when a rider on a bike i didn't recognise did me totally on the brakes into Hawthorns never to be seen again that session.
It was Ron Haslam!

Also don’t be put off by “what if it rains”. Half my track time was dry and then it pored down! It was great fun in the rain too, and opened your eyes to just how much grip is available. There was a chap in my session who came off but I was told he wound it open mid corner in the wet.
