SWMBO wants to have our holiday in Portugal next year and i'm struggling to find any car friendly hotels either there or on way down.

Does anyone have a recommendations?

Well, if the Hotel Palacio is good enough for James Bond and his Aston Martin DBS, I am sure you will have no problem there with your car and SWMBO:

Depends whereabouts you are staying.

I can recommend a place in Vila Real, and one in Serta.
