Most reliable RWD manual for a daily?

Looking for a new daily. I want RWD with a manual transmission. No diesels. Must have good space with back seats. But doesn't need to be large. Something reliable is better. Not very expensive. For age, something which it's not 10 years old. Thanks.

Yeah, I was afraid I would be left with the usual boring options. Merc, BMW or Lexus. 
I just wanted to make sure I had not overlooked something obvious.
But I'm not sure I would call Merc and BMW reliable and not very expensive though. Definitely not what I call reliable. Especially BMWs.

Yes, the Omega is indeed an often overlooked gem. Very bland looking. The last generation was. But I have always heard they are good and reliable. They are a lot of bang for your buck. But yes, at this point they are tool old. I think the last one was 2003? So the newest one is already 17 years old. It's a pity they left the E-segment. The FWD Insignia just doesn't measure upIt was my daily commuter and also an excellent mile muncher on the motorways.
Unfortunately, if you can find one it will be too old by your requirements.
I ran am E90 325i mSport for 4 years (and the car was 4 years old when I got it) and that was perfect for what you describe. I had to change a coil pack for about £110 but other than servicing and tyres, it didn't fail me. I imagine a late incarnation of the 3 series would fit the bill as mentioned.

To be fair I haven't found them unreliable.

Too true, life used to be so much easier years ago! I had a MK2 Cortina, Fiat 125, Rover P6B 3500S, Fiat 132 1800ES, Escort MK2 RS2000, Capri 2.8 Injection (x2), Sierra Sapphire and Mercedes 190e before I moved on to BMWs, and they were all manual RWD cars.
Still I'll be off to collect RWD Manual BMW No8 later, so all isn't lost yet!
I've driven a couple of GT86s and they are great fun, but just a bit lacking in the "grunt" department. "Torquey" is exactly what I wouldn't call them.

But if one doesn't like BMWs he is really out of luck for RWD manual cars. And even BMW is slowly moving away from it too.
