Hello

I'm struggling to find anywhere that sells a proper Buche de Noel, to save me massacring one as my own creation.

Any ideas, preferably around Berkshire somewhere?

Thanks.

I had to look that up, so I'll hand myself in on the Council thread.

I'll join you. biggrin The advantage is of course that in there, you can eat Yule Logs, Swiss Rolls, Arctic Rolls and Viennettas to your hearts content hehe

Not looking good there either!

Cooks appear to have one, will pop in to local shop see if I can get a free nibble....

I have to assume that you’re kidding here, my Tante Sylvie In Hazebrouck, Nord, France, makes Buche de Noël every year, and they bear as much similarity to those Poundland monstrosities as a McDonalds burger does to her confit de canard, avec petits pois, et sauce à l’orange.

There must be a Maison Blanc bakery in the area. That would be my first port of call.

Quick google shows one in Farnham although their web site does not work so no idea. Will put as a reserve option.
