I’ve passed the rejection of my Model S to my lawyer to deal with, and my thoughts are turning to what to buy instead.

I’ve two very young children, so we need two baby seats in the back, and I’d like something with some good luggage capacity.

I commute between London and mainland Europe, generally flying, but quite often on the ferry and driving, and my little Abarth 595 is a bit wearing on the journey.

I’ve an R8 Plus for fun, and we’ve a Smart ForFour for my wife to use around town, but what’s going to be a good car for up and down the country to the parents, down to Paris and Champagne for the in-laws.

I’ve an early slot (I believe) for a Taycan Turbo S, but think I’ll delay for the Sport Turismo If I go that route, which means I’ve a year to drive something else.

Current list is,

Bentley Mulsanne Speed
Ferrari FF
New RS6 Avant
RS4 Avant
Cayenne Turbo S.

Would people let me have their thoughts on this list, and on anything that might be a better choice?

I sat in a Panamera Hybrid the other week and wasn’t happy with the view from the rear. The Cayenne seemed much nicer for rear passengers.

From your list and your requirements it's got to be the RS6.

I can't imagine you needing more car (size or power) as a family car.

While browsing for the family cars I noticed how reasonable SL63s have become now, so I’m going to take a look at a new one on Saturday.

If I buy that I might just stick with the wife’s smart ForFour until my Taycan arrives.
