They insisted it was genuine but it simply can't be.

That's a cheap old Shoei helmet that is no way suitable for F1 that someone's painted.

According to Road and Track, Senna used Bell, Rheos and Shoei helmets during his career.......

Green lining? It’s either a real one or somebody has gone to a *lot* of trouble. Painting and colours look spot on, patina looks very genuine...

Surely either those are enormous shells, or that's a tiny helmet?

No way. That's a cheap helmet painted up.

the Visor mounts are wrong, for the lids he was using at McLaren Honda.

And when he had the Marlboro sponsor badge in the middle of the front of the lid, the lining was green.

I'd also take a punt on that not being a Shoei helmet at all. Unless I'm mistaken it's got Arai side pods on the visor which are exclusive to Arai helmets by my reckoning.

Looks like a Shoei RF series (not sure which) helmet to me, I had one "back in the day" & recognised it.

Could be they made them with/without side shields.

That would never have been one of his F1 helmets, I thought it could have been one he used when he did the Paris-Bercy karting but no he used the same helmets as he did in F1. Checked Bruno Senna too, nope not his.

"Maybe" it's one from earlier in his career before he was famous, before F1 even that has been repainted during his McLaren years to be used as a display helmet/advertising for some reason and not worn? Like when they repaint an older F1 in the current livery when they let a junior driver test it.
