Can you identify a J plate Saab like van?

Seen in Dunstable two days back I saw for but a split second the weirdest Red van. Only got the merest rear-view glimpse and it was gone. It had rear wings going to a point, uncannily like a Saab 95 1970 Estate, but was a flat-front van (a la Ford Thames 400E). Was sitting on pressed steel plates - 'J' registration. Seeing the rear only, I actually thought it was a Saab, but no.

Rear wing were next identical to this Saab:






I had 2-3 secs to take it in. What did I see?

The OP has said that it was flat-fronted, i.e. forward control. Hence not a Saab.

Was it RHD? Was it a car type van or more the size of the Ford pictured?

I thought op was referring to flat front like a herald etc. not as in type 2 , econoline etc.
