PEUGEOT 306. D TURBO!?
Discussion
As I'm from Northern Ireland I'm naturally a big fan of that
I've had 2 D-turbos and a NAD. 2nd D-turbo had and 11mm bosch pump and a TD04 turbo shoving 30psi of boost into its aged internals but I have to say it was totally reliable and had far more shove then it had any right to have!

Great cars. I had a 306 XND as my first car. It was gutless and had no cooling system. Sitting in traffic was always a heaters on and windows down event to cool it down. Never let me down though. 700 miles per tank was a regular event.
Then had a 306 d-turbo which felt like a rocket ship compared to the XND. Fond memories.

What's the reason they're so popular in Northern Ireland? I live in Kent, and I've sold a couple of 306 D Turbos to buyers who flew across from Northern Ireland and paid top money for them.

I loved the Citroen ZX TD I had many years ago.
Same here, 1.9 Volcane. When it eventually died at about 198k miles I replaces it with a 2 litre HDI DTurbo. The 306 was obviously newer and better inside but I still prefer 1.9 to the HDI engine. I did a lot of miles on veg oil in the ZX but couldn't find a 306 with a Bosch pump so went back to diesel. Gassing Station | Readers' Cars | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff

t of a shovel too, and I even managed 700 miles on a tank once!
