I dread to ask this, purely for cost reasons but I'm hoping someone clever has a solution for the following:

When I push the button to drop the roof on my 2007 V8 Vantage, the front detaches from the windscreen and starts to lift but the back doesn't lift and eventually i get a faliure message. it was -1 degrees when i tried it even though the car had been heating up for a while. just wondering if the cold is a contributor.

Can any one give me some ideas to try to solve this?

thanks for and help offered.

Had same problem on my 2007 V8VR it was the tonneau cover catch not releasing .
Try manually releasing tonneau cover. There are two cables near battery compartment which when pulled release the tonneau then the roof may reset itself.

thanks for your reply.
unfortunately I can only find one cable in the battery compartment.
i have removed some of the trim to try and find the other one but with no luck.
can you tell me if the locking point of the tonneau lid is in the middle or the sides of the lid?

thanks

I don't have a Roadster but I think the manual covers all of this. Try to check in there. wink

I think it’s at the side . Pull the one cable and see what happens.
Other option is to get some help and press down on each side when operating the roof which may help release it.
