Inspired by Captain Darling...

I don't watch much TV, yet I have to pay the EXACT same licence fee as total couch potatoes who are glued to the box watching drivel all the time. Quite frankly, I don't think this is fair. These people are putting a higher demand on the National Grid, thus more energy needed, thus more pollution. Using the "polluter pays" principle, I propose we put a black box in every television. This black box will moniter what you watch, when you watch it and how many cups of tea you drink whilst viewing and you will be billed accordingly.

Hope you're not intending to think anything bad. There's going to be a tax on that too.

Why not indeed! Tax it accordingly so news/documentaries are effectively free and cartoons/soaps are a much higher price. This way we can make Period Dramas cost slightly more than the houses they're filmed in, 'cause they really piss me off.
