Going on performance of this particular example, I'd put my money on the 1.1 AX any day! The back seats are comedy gold, they've got sort of sunken cushions with a raised front edge, which you have to haul your backside up and over to get into them, at which point it rapidly becomes apparent that there's nowhere to put your head. It's either head in lap, or head on one shoulder. Wouldn't fancy the complex injuries from a shunt in either pose!mrtwisty said:

Wire brush, lots of mess, hopefully no actual holes....First issue though is the ticking insrument binnacle. I suspect probably related to the quivering speedo needle...
Had one of these funnily enough. It was my dad's old car and I grew up in the back. although from about 13 years old My mum had to sit in the back!
Basically a starlet underneath so parts are cheap and plentiful.
I seem to remember the engine was a test bed for the prius not sure if that's correct or not.
1.5 twin cam with 89hp if memory serves me correct.
They like a drink of oil and watch out for the fuel tanks they like to rust.

Look out for classic low level impreza spoiler fits straight on and finishes the back off nicely

Interesting about the Scooby spoiler, I don't think I'll bling it though, it's so tragically unglamorous it'd be a shame to spoil it!

I had mine at 18 it got the full max power treatment. Glanza engine & corolla g6r 6sp box, decent brakes, suspension etc... Then spoiled it by dumping loads of subs in the boot! I adored that car. And made a change from the saxos & fiestas that my mates ran around in.Interesting about the Scooby spoiler, I don't think I'll bling it though, it's so tragically unglamorous it'd be a shame to spoil it!

For 20 quid a can, it's a no brianer. Spend half a day under the car with a wire brush, chipping tool and a can of Dynax (assuming the underside of the car isn't already totally f
ked) you will have done some great preventative work, for peanuts and a little of your time.Gilhooligan said:

Quite easily. My old one had the 5efe paseo bottom end and glanza head, turbo etc.. With corolla g6r 6sp gearbox.It's based on a starlet so most things suspension, brakes etc... All fit with no/minimum fuss.
I keep an eye on any that Come up for sale but most seem to have been caught by the tin worm by now. Only a handfull of them left now too which is a shame
