Marking postcodes on Google Maps
Discussion
I have a list of about 2000 postcode markers that I need to put on a map. I have done this with Google Maps but realised it just shows a blur of markers that doesn't mean much.
What I need is to show a marker on the postcode area (such as M10) and then show how many of my individual postcodes fall into that area. Does anyone know how to do that?
If not, can anyone tell me how to only show the first 4 characters in each cell of my list of postcode list? I'm using Open Office and I'm crap with spreadsheets.
Thanks

Look at the LEFT function:https://www.excelanytime.com/excel/index.php?optio...
"Cell A1 contains the text string "James Bond".
=LEFT(A1,7)
Returns "James B", which are the first 7 characters. Note that space is counted as a distinct character."
Change 7 to 4 in the formula.
