A few months ago I read a topic which was about a company who had created a guarentee'd fix for speed 6 engines (It may well have been in the General TVR Gassing forum). When I went into the website of this company they also offered various power hikes, including fitment of a supercharger.

I've just spent 2 hours searching the tvr forums and for the life of me I cant find this thread. Am quite interested in the idea of a low pressure supercharger (after the warrenty period )

Can anybody help me find that thread or know the name of the company I'm talking about..?!

Oh dear - you're on the slippery slope!

You're after autocraft - lots of mentions on the Cerbera forum (and I think the topic you mention was on the Tuscan forum)

Hope the've developed the supercharger option better than the still being engineered fix for the speed 6.

Have to agree, If I had 6K spare, I would put it towards a brand new car with the 3 year warranty!

The supercharger upgrade would be erm,, interesting though!, although on UK roads, I would have to question its validity!

Not looking for heaps more power - just a bit more low-down torque, and perhaps a 15-20% increase in power...?
There may well be more suitable (and cheaper!) routes to follow, but I thought I'd explore all avenues..!

Austec will carry out a full remap for £750+VAT.

They reckon it increases torque throughout the range, and also adds circa 20bhp.

This seems by far the cheapest method.

They are also working on a supercharger system, but are saying it will not be ready until the end of this year at the earliest.

The TVR Craft solution uses a centrefugal blower which is highly rev dependant and only works well at high revs. This probably isn't a good approach if you are after mid-range torque.
