Hoping the PH hive mind can help with a recommendation for a laptop.
Currently using a 2010 MacBook Pro - 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo with 16GB ram and SSD but it seems to have become quite slow.
I’m looking for a Windows machine - need to be able to do basic image editing in Photoshop (no video), some simple AutoCAD and the usual suite of Microsoft Office type programs.
Ideally I’d like to find something for around £500. Happy to buy second hand / refurbished. I’ve been looking at used Dell XPS on eBay but there seem to be a multitude of different model numbers and I don’t know whether what I’m looking at would be more capable than my current MacBook.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
