Amazon business account - much discount?

Just wondered if anyone here uses an amazon business account? They keep sending me emails saying I should join but not sure if there would be a huge benefit? I buy mostly computer parts and networking gear in quite low volume. There's no meaningful "trade pricing" anywhere in this game so I have my doubts, but just wondered if anyone could confirm.

Ive got one, its ok, no real discount

I can give team members logon details and purchasing limits, eg, Dave in facilities needs approval on everything over £5

You can restrict purchasers to VAT registered sellers only

You get a pretty decent "analytics" , basically when our accounts lady chases me for receipts I can download them all in one go and keep track of everything

If there is a team of you it makes it easier is what I can work out

I have an Amazon Business account here in the US. Some stuff is cheaper, others more expensive. Some stuff is more expensive and longer lead times than the 'consumer' store. The stuff that's cheaper is only a v small percentage cheaper.

We only check it out if spending more than a few hundred bucks as it's just not worth the hassle.

Thanks, as I suspected then, not really worth it for a sole trader.

I'm a business seller and often get official emails asking if I can offer a lower price for x qty by request of a buyer.
Could work well if you buy in volume.

I didn't know you could do this so thank you for pointing it out. This is one of my biggest issues with Amazon.

For the OP - We are a small business and the only benefit we see is better reporting.
