S8+ to Note10+ - anybody done it?
Discussion
Had my S8+ for several years, and very happy with it. However - managed to drop it and chip the bottom corner a month ago, which has resulted in a hairline crack over the far right of the screen.
It's mostly not visible - but still irritating. Last time I had a replacement screen, Samsung made me erase the phone and the cost was ~£250 (I prefer to use Samsung and know I've got the proper screen).
I guess the cost might have gone down - but if it's going to cost me similar money, I'm tempted to just ditch it and buy a Note10+. The slightly bigger screen is tempting - and this months bonus is more than I expected which would pay for it.
Is it worth it?

I can help with the screen cost question, it hasn't gone down that much - ask me how I know
My one cost £220 (TBH this wasn't at a Samsung place). I've now got a screen protector on it (hopefully I won't need it but......)
Were I in your position I'll admit to being tempted to upgrade - although, obviously, there is a significant cost implication.

Yeah - I called a few places after posting this. £219 from Samsung, and ~£200 from one of the indy's.
I don't want to pay that - so either I live with it (it's really not bad - it's right at the very edge, and only a small part of it is visible really) - or treat myself. Problem is, it pretty much does everything I want!

And don't discount the Note 9, pristine versions now selling for under £350:

You made this sound like it was an issue, was it?If so, you can easily backup to the Samsung cloud using the built in software and restore it again without any hassle.
We did set that up in the shop - but it doesn't back up everything (e.g. all my Whatsapp conversations disappeared), I still had to setup account details again.
