Mintex Brake Pads
Discussion
Just picked up my new front brake pads. I had some 1144 Mintex made up - a custom job from Mintex. They listed MDB2207 in the standard material, but not 1144 'Fast Road' compound.
Unfortunately I won't have time to fit them before I go off to the US this weekend and I won't be returning until 23th June. Crapola.
The supplier is called Chiltern Brake in Wycombe if anyone's interested. Took 3 weeks for Mintex to make them BTW.
Looking forward to more bitey stopping feel...

i have these pads on the elise. very good more solid pedal feel. squeal when they're cold. give them a good roast every now and again and that keeps them quiet for a week or two.
bed them in like race pads: few light applications then some big stops (I did 60-20mph about 10 times, cruised for a couple of minutes then did some 60-0 stops)
I think you'll like them

I paid about £85.
Try EBC redstuff £65.00 and are just ace on the drilled discs of the T350. I have then on all four corners now...
Mr F
But do they work when cold/on the road? I had Greenstuff in the past on my Chimaera (another underservoed(but also underbraked) car)and they were lethal when cold (great when warm if you like replacing discs often). I assumed redstuff would only be worse.

Stop better than any other pads I have tried. Green stuff were shite, red stuff are just fantastic!!!! I wouldn't use them if they were crap...
