Do you want an android one, or just not an iOS one?

Android...Samsung Galaxy Tab S6/S5?

Windows...Microsoft Surface Pro 5/6/7?

work based? what kinda thing?

You probably want a chromebook, not a tablet, something convertible and touchscreen.

Sorry I should have been clearer. I use 365 on my laptop but want something bigger than a phone with a clip on keyboard that I can use when out and about and tether to my phone or Wi-Fi..

The tablet versions of Office are a bit 'limited', so I'd go for a Surface Go (basic + cheaper) or Surface Pro (faster + more expensive) which will run a the full version of Office.

You'll have to budget in a keyboard cover for either though.

I think you've probably missed the boat on the Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals - as I was tempted by a quad core i5 256gb Surface Pro 7 for £720. Looks like they're £900+ now. Only the slower dual core i3 version is available at around £700, or the older Pro 6.

The 8gb ram surface go runs Windows 10 and office perfectly well. I use mine as a note book for hand written notes with Onenote and for all office apps etc when travelling. I use s surface pro as a laptop but it’s too big to be used as s tablet properly.

It runs the full versions of Office 365 with now issues at all

Asus chromebook flip,C101 or C302. Both are touchscreen with a fold away keyboard.

Will those run the full version of Office 365 though?

I thought they could only run the mobile versions - as do Android and iOS tablets (yes, I have Office on an iPad Pro - and for anything other than the tiniest change, or to simply view something with dodgy formatting, it's next to useless).

Not the full version, just the online version of 365, or the apps.

Is that because it's running Windows 10 'S-mode'?

If so, you can switch to Windows 10 proper to allow apps from anywhere.
