£6 Million DB4 Zagato. (Carfection video)
Discussion
Great video and great car but the whole idea of spending upwards of 6 million on a braze of new Astons makes a vintage DB4 GT and Zagato seem cheap. When Paul Spires explains that the reason for pricing the new braze at that level is based on the value of the vintage cars makes no sense it all. That would be like saying that a new version of Mona Lisa would be priced on the basis of the value of the original rather than what it would cost to reproduce it plus some margin. And where does that put the sanction 2 Zagatos buildt by RS Williams in the 90ties. You could argue that they have more pedigree ( retaining the original VIN ) but they are valued at around 1.5-2m.
