I did one of Andy McKenna's ice driving courses in Norway and shared the cars with him ... he was a very understated Petrol-Head with a garage that would be the envy of anybody (so inclined).
I liked him. What a shame.

I heard this on the news today, and thought how sad... only to have now just read this and understood who the victims were.
Unbelievable.... condolences to the family.
I met Matt a few times on track days since last year, and seen him a few times this year, even getting a few pax laps.

As everyone says..such a lovely and down to earth guy. Very sad.. terrible loss.

So young with so much more to do - this v.sad news really took the wind out of my sails and puts life into perspective....

A quiet and reserved man with a lovely dry sense of humour. Our sincere condolences to his family and close friends. RIP.

I've known Matthew for nearly 20 years, on a business and personal level.

He was an absolute gentleman - great to work with, honest and honourable. He was very self effacing, friendly and funny, a true petrolhead and could spend hours talking about anything petrol related, especially Porsche and Ferrari.

I have spoken to several people this morning who knew him and we are all heartbroken.

Very sobering how trigger happy a 'mugger' might be.
