I'm no leftie but how can this be right?
Discussion
Mo Farah's brother has been deported to Somalia following his release from prison.
But he came to Britain when he was 2 years old
I could understand if he was 18 when he came over and had previously had a life in Somalia, but at 2 he has fully grown up here and has no links to Somalia at all.
Yes he is a lowlife we don't want on our streets, but ignoring the specific case, how can it be right to deport anyone who came to this country at such a young age, and legally too?
Yes I am expecting lots of "f
k him, he is a criminal replies"

But he was 2 when he came. And at 2 he wasn't a criminal.
Which mean he is a product of the UK, we as a country made him to be the knife crim that he is, not Somalia.
So surely we are passing the buck by getting rid, rather than taking responsibility?
Would you want Somalia deporting any criminals they had fully raised back to the UK as they were born here?

Yet his brother didn't become a knife crim, as do countless millions more living in the UK not become knife crims.Which mean he is a product of the UK, we as a country made him to be the knife crim that he is, not Somalia.
Go away - are you serious?

Take away the fact he's mo farahs brother and it just come down to a non uk citizen being deported after being convicted of a knife attack, which when people keep saying the police don't do enough to tackle knife crime is surely a positive step?
It’s hard to disagree with this. The thing I find most perplexing in this case is how he comes here at 2 years old, is offered appropriate asylum but manages to go all that time without receiving/applying for citizenship.

He get deported because it’s the easiest and most efficient way of dealing with the problem.Which mean he is a product of the UK, we as a country made him to be the knife crim that he is, not Somalia.

No we wouldn’t want Somali criminals but we’ve ended up with some isis types back here. You can’t make someone stateless but if you’re able to deport a criminal then what a great way to deal with the problem.
He’s only Somali (and able to be deported) because he didn’t become British like Sir Mo did. I bet he regrets not doing that annoying paperwork now.

Bet there’s loads of criminals making sure they get their citizenship forms in after that.

The Australians do it all the time.Which mean he is a product of the UK, we as a country made him to be the knife crim that he is, not Somalia.

Good! Not a UK citizen, convicted of Knife crime and has rightly been sent back to where he is a citizen.
Nobody would bat an eyelid if he wasn't Mo's brother.
The offender surely would of know as soon as he got caught that he would be sent home at the end of it, he also knows now he won't be allowed back, so he's now using his brothers fame to try and get back in.
