Say you had a budget of £25k(ish) and you were after a feelgood car, what would you go for?
To make it a little harder you already have : -
A rare classic
An Off-roader
An MX-5
Motorbikes
Your car has to be: -
Fun to drive
Classy (Won't look out of place at a posh country hotel)
Depreciation proof.
More than 4 cylinders
Quick -240bhp/tonne minimum
Reliable for every day use
Comfortable
Knee tremblingly beautiful
It doesn't have to be: -
Economical
Spacious
capable of seating more than two.
It absolutely must: -
Make you take that second glance as you walk away
So, with that all in mind what do you go for and why?

So, with that all in mind what do you go for and why?
I was in this exact position (albeit not because I had all the other toys). So slightly biased in my reply, but oddly I normally go for italian/brit cars but in this case the choice was obvious.
997 Porsche 911 (Carrera 4/4s if you want the turbo body) but might be a little tricky to find a good later (later 997's are better due to the IMS/RMS e.t.c issues of the early ones, unless rebuilt by Hartec) 4S even in winter at that budget.
Let alone the fact that they do have 4 seats and a little bench which folds down creating a little van space in the back to haul things around. Also pretty economical at something like 27mpg (cruising), which is just slightly less than my old 2 litre Alfa with half the power.
My heart says the Granturismo as other have said, but Maser's are notorious for depreciation when over £20k. Coupes normally level out at about £11-14k (i.e cars like the 4200, unless something like the gransport) , Saloon's drop to £7k plus.

Fair enough, I'd heard that the Granturismos were actually pretty reliable though. Only the cam variators to keep an eye on but that seems to be the only thing that goes wrong with them that I've seen after researching (am desperate to get one for myself next year)997? Jaguar XKR? Heck, even a DB9/V8 Vantage would fit into the 25k budget.
It's the "Reliable" that's the stumbling block, I know.
I've always wanted a 4.5 Cerbera and I will have one at some point, but with a Landrover and an old Triumph I think I've pretty much got the too much power for the chassis/ wants to kill you/ will it start, will it get me home? thing covered..

Would be pushing it for a supercharged one at 25k, but it has been known. Plenty floating around the 26-28k range at the moment.
