Hi all we have a 2008 XC90 which as of late has needed an ad-hoc jump start... I normally jump it off the van but I'm not always around to save the wife and we live in a remote area...
Anyway looking for a jumper pack that can deal with a large car like that and also pump tyres if needed... Anyone recommend anything?

Thanks all

Wouldn't it be better to just fix the car?

+1

OP, how old is the battery? If it's more than 4-5 years it's probably past its best and recent cold weather could have finished it off.

Continually running with a knackered battery and jump starting will eventually kill other things (alternator voltage regulator usually). Been there, done that.

Battery is about a year old, but think something is causing a drain... The old car has some electronic gremlins
I am hoping to get it to my mechanic but he doesn't have anything till Jan...

RoyPow Portable Car Jump Starter IP66 (Gasoline 8L, Diesel 5L) Battery Booster Power Pack Auto Battery Charger 12V Power Source with Fast Charge Dual USB Dual LED Flashlight https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07R6RDT9F/ref=cm_sw_r...

One of them, though it's only ever been used on other people's vehicles as I look after my battery. Started them all first crank.

It comes with various input and output connectors including a lighter type socket that I use to power a 12v tyre inflator.

Does it do short journeys and or sit around between uses?

If so, get a battery tender (ctek, etc) and put it on when it's not been used (the long the better, but an overnight session should suffice).

One of these Clarke jobbies.

Plenty of oomph, packs into a nice neat little case and takes up hardly any room.
