Fairly new to watches. Seem to have narrowed down to three.
Always good to get an opinion of someone that's not making comission.
Any considerations on these I should be thinking about?
Oris Aquis Date in Green

Longines Hydroconquest in Blue
https://www.longines.co.uk/watch-hydroconquest-l3-...
Rado Captain Cook in green

I do like the curves on the Rado and the ability to change the strap which I understand is more difficult on the Oris.
Thanks

My humble opinion? Save yourself 1k and get a Steinhart Ocean... Same ETA movement as the early tudor black bay, Swiss Made, good quality steel, and keeps better time than my Speedmaster.
I have the Ocean 39 Green, but they do a wide variety of them.

You definitely need to try the HydroConquest on, as they’re chunky things.
I’m not saying that’s bad, it’s just how they are.
Steinhart is a very good shout. I like the look of their Ocean GMT Vintage which has an unbelievable spec for the money.
Someone posted a Spinnaker on here a while back, that seemed good value too.

I'd go for the Oris.
I actually have the same one on my wish list...but with the leather strap..not keen on the bracelet.

I have that blue Hydroconquest and my wife has the smaller size too.
Quality is excellent, feels solid and good heritage.
Dial looks great in the sunshine.
Great value piece IMO.

I like all 3 of your suggestions but when I looked at the Oris I wasn't too keen on the case shape so went for the Longines.
Your three watches are a pretty solid selection at this price point! Given that you seem to have selected coloured face watches as a pre-req, how about a Magrette?

This place is a parody of itself sometimes
To tick off everything from the Pistonheads Watch Thread Bingo game we still need:
- Someone to suggest a ROLEX because everyone knows they're the best, despite the fact that they don't at all meet the brief. "Just save up so you can afford it" etc.
- A long discussion on "SS sub" availability, preferably involving the phrase "schmoozing the AD" and some highly specific 559245654 model numbers thrown in to prove who knows the most about ROLEXESES.
- Accusations of the "green-eyed monster" as soon as someone says they don't like ROLEXESESES or they don't fit the bill.

That green Steinhart is a lovely looking thing

not a manufacturer I had noticed before and a bargain at that price, another to add to the list

Honestly couldn't be more happy with it! It's performed so much better than I was expecting for the price point - I've had mine two years and it's been worn virtually daily during that time as my Speedy was out of action.

It's certainly not been babied - out in all weathers/temperatures/environments - and even still, the time keeping has been excellent and the steel bracelet has held up really well - certainly much better than my brother's Tudor Black Bay!
In terms of value for money, it punches so far above it's weight it's not even funny. It's certainly made me question the value of the <£3k dive watches such as the Oris/Longines/Tudor etc.
