Porsche Cayenne - Jaguar F-Pace

After a little advice please on a second hand purchase.
Our first baby is on the way and due in late Jan so we need to buy a car as since we sold our boxster almost 4 years ago, we haven’t had a car. Living in London has meant we haven’t really needed one as we commute by train for work.
Anyway, my initial want was a 4 door Jeep Wrangler. Wife not a fan due to it being bulky and given we would be parking it on the street outside our house, I’ve relented in this. Other car on the list was a Range Rover Sport although again wife prefers our other 2 options and I think so do I.
So the choice is between a Porsche Cayenne and a Jag F-Pace.
Don’t want to pay silly money but don’t want an old car either. Obviously this is a Porsche forum but interested to hear peoples views.
Budget wise between £20-30k although prefer not to be at the top end of this.
On the Jag I think I would want the 3 litre to have a bit of poke about it.
On the Porsche obviously I’d want the Turbo although I wonder whether a lower spec model would not be much different? Also on the Porsche I don’t want the early model.
Any tips and if Porsche what version would you suggest.
Last consideration is that given paying good money, I’d want resale value in maybe 5 years to be strong and not lose too much money in that time if possible.

I guess you've both decided that new baby equals must have a large SUV. In somewhere as anti-car as London is, I just don't see the sense in that. It's going to be very expensive to run in terms of charges/taxes, fuel and tyres. In the case of the Cayenne your budget means that it's going to be quite old (> 5 years), is likely to be out of warranty and could lead to some very high servicing and repair costs. Probably not the sort of costs that you want to have when taking on something else that is going to be very expensive...a new baby!
