Does anyone have any experience of the Civic Tourer or more generally of the 1.6dtec?

We've had an old 2.0 accord tourer for years and it's been largely faultless but it's getting on for 17 years old and we've moved somewhere remote so fancy a change.

Everyday use is 10 mile round trip along a quiet Scottish b Road with longer weekend trips. Very occasionally it might go further afield to mainland Europe etc.

Got a dog and do quite a bit of outdoor sports so a decent sized boot is essential. Probably average as much as 20k a year so fuel economy helps. Almost all of those miles are done in the North of Scotland so would be nice if it's half decent to drive.

Winter tyres and front wheel drive are good enough as we've got a 4wd if things get too bad but rear wheel drive is a bit of a liability here in winter.

Any thoughts or suggestions that I might have missed? Budget hopefully less than 10k.
