I had no idea these existed! It looks great, like a more svelte Accord Type R.

They are quite a rare thing here. There's less than 10 in the country

It's actually closer to the civic aerodeck underneath

I’m not surprised it’s overheating, you appear to have only half a radiator..

That’s what size the rads are on a lot of Hondas, civic etc always had that size and never had a heat issue. The DC2 did get a full width as standard but as SS says, you’d never get that ram horn on with a full width.

Cool car SS, welcome to the VTEC+boost club! My EP3 is 309@ the wheels (supercharged) so not as lairy but damn good fun!!

Probably not as much as you think, I pay around £350 FC with all mods declared and an agreed value too. Plenty of specialists around to cover this kind of thing.

Hi Gary.
Insurance for me is 380 a year..
29, agreed value of 12k

Hi butter face.
Nice to see someone else with a mad honda.

As you say, you can't fit the full size rad with the ram horn

On the flipside, I was well over £300 to insure my old EP3. All mods declared - suspension, intake & exhaust.

I was 38 at the time, full NCB, and lived in a very good postcode.

In my experience, as soon as you mention modifications, insurance companies use that as carte blanche make it up as they go along - even more so than usual.

I'd include the so-called specialists in that.

It's a lottery, it really is.

Sorry OP - from another fast Honda fan, love it!

Incidentally, one of the posters above nailed it - a slimline Accord Type R yes

I will be honest with you.. Buying an old jap import wasn't my idea.
I'd sold my disco td5 and needed a run about.. The other half started showing me turbo Hondas and this popped up.. It must have been fate.

It is great fun. While this was in the garage I was running around in the saloon civic in the above pictures.. That has the smaller b16 but even still, its a laugh.
Vtec is so addictive!

I'm not a massive jap car fan, but I really do like that. It looks swift, but nowhere near as fast as I imagine it actually is, so a bit of a sleeper.

It really is very difficult to show just how fast the car is on a video. For one the video quality is poor and another the roads are all damp so grip is next to nothing.
However, It is really, really quick. No exaggeration by this but it will easily chase big bikes.

Massive intergra dc2 fan here.
Had one for a couple of years
That is very very rare I believe only a handfull of the db8’s in the uk.
I very nearly bought a white one a few years ago but Ended up with an accord type r.
I believe they are only 50 cm longer than the dc2 and have similar handling characteristics.
That power it will be an absolute riot to drive nice work
