Though I doubt I would ever voluntarily watch an actual wrestling match, I find the culture that surrounds it totally bizarre and engrossing so will watch any documentary or read any well written thingy about it.
It's clear to me at least that the 80s were its golden era. There were genius performers and the whole scene was overflowing with bombast. I've occasionally tried to get interested in the more modern stuff but even the attitude era feels a bit pale and today's is completely anon.
What other things have been and gone and will never repeat the same magic?

Drag Racing, 1960s and 70s, starting out with anything goes that goes fast, sometimes even evading the rulebook,
tipping the can of Hydrazine or Propylene Oxide INTO the "fuel from hell" which is Nitromethane,
testing, trying, crashing and exploding various "go-faster" engine, chassis and vehicle concepts.
Very colorful driver personalities, who were hugely popular, not unlike the wrestlers mentioned above, but for different reasons.
Ending with basically the base vehicle concepts still running on top, today´s Dragsters have more sophisticated but certified materials,
data recording, better tuneable engines and chassis.

I'd say the '80s was the golden era of the supercar - and perhaps also of the supercar tuner - I don't think they'll ever have both that freedom again, and the lack of history that allows car designers to produce something never seen before. And tuners now have such a bad reputation - I mean as uncool or bling or whatever. In the '80s they had far wider acceptance
The '60s was a golden era for fast jets and jet transport. Speed was everything, and now it's not. Planes built to go fast look cool. Planes built to be invisible to radar look weird. And the '60s for music, clothing, and growing up. The birth of rock and roll and the age of the creation of the teenager. It was, through to the '80s I suppose, also the golden age of the drive-in movie theatre. I can't imagine those coming back in style.
I'd say we're currently in, maybe you can't call it a golden era until it's finished, so at least I'd say a best era for computer / console gaming, and also movies. I know I have a few classics I really like from the '60s, '70s and '80s but I do believe the average quality of a movie is better now than it has ever been. Same for computer games. I assume both though will get better in future as technology and experience grow.
And the 13th century was the golden era for mongols. I'd be very surprised if they once again rise up and conquer nearly all of Eurasia and then just decide to stop and turn around within a country or two of the English Channel

The 90s was the end of the golden age of IT contracting; rates were higher than they are now (even before allowing for inflation), there was just no competition for jobs as a lot of areas were so niche and all the tax loopholes hadn’t been closed. It was great - EVERYTHING on expenses. New tv? New carpets? New lawnmower? Put it through the books!
Happy days. I feel sorry for those doing it now. It looks pants.

F1 up to 1972ish when it started to get tech. Once the computers took over everything, with the puits telling drivers what to do and when to do it. made me switch off, PLUS back then you got a couple of other races on the day, and see the drivers actually working

I’d also say rock and roll from probably, actually not even some years but just the “Beatles Era”. How it morphed into post Beatles pop and rock was just astounding, has there ever been a more artistic period of six or seven years?
