A few of us are looking at getting the ferry over to Northern Ireland and driving to the Northwest 200 next year. Anybody been over that can offer some advice and tips?
Ideally we'll want to stay fairly locally with places to go drinking on the evenings. Is it best to pay for a grandstand or is there decent viewing round the circuit without grandstand seats? Any advice welcome!

I would think about booking your bed for the week now if your thinking of hotels or b&b tbh.
Best place is around Portrush for the bars etc but Portstewart is also very very busy with a few good bars etc.
As for grandstands....I would say to get a ticket but you will prob find yourself watching more from other areas around the course.
main thing is to enjoy and to get the drinking practice in for at least a full 2 weeks before you arrive.

Thanks for the advice. I'll start looking into hotels this week. I definitely prefer to move around to different vantage points but will look at grandstands based on where we end up staying
