Had a family dinner tonight, bought lots of cake mostly Tesco finest log and chocolate cake which say store in an air tight container once opened, wondering if I can freeze it as so much is left?

Depends on the Dimesmeric Andersonphosphate levels as it's a bistirbile drug.

I haven’t frozen a Tesco log myself but have frozen all kinds of other cakes with good success.

I really like frozen fairy cakes defrosted in the microwave. Hard to tell the difference between straight out of the oven.

Wrap it well in cling film, then freeze.
