Very sad but also odd, 3 from the same family found dead in a hotel pool.

Very sad.
Difficult to understand what could have happened unless it's as simple as all of them being non swimmers. That in itself would be odd.
Yeahh upon reading it, it appears one of them was struggling so 2 jumped in to rescue her and all 3 died, I can understand if it was a river or the sea but not a pool! Just a bit odd.

I think it relates to excessive sucction at the drain, caused by the pump. In trying to free the 9 year old girl, the others became trapped too. Terrible tradgedy at worst possible time.
What’s your source? It is unlikely for a pool pump to malfunction and as a result then become stronger.Terrible for all involved.

I nearly failed to make it out alive from an indoor pool in a Copenhagen hotel in December 2017.
I forgot what a crap swimmer I was.
I forgot what a crap swimmer I was.

If you don't mind me saying, that's a very strange thing to forget. Does it not come back to you are getting ready in the changing room, or as you're getting into the pool.
I have visions of you struggling and trying to get to the edge saying to yourself "damn, I knew there was something about this caper I had to be careful of, and now I remember what it was. I can't do it"
