... I got a Smoke Gun for Christmas, it has a small burn chamber and I have 2 small pots of wood chips with it...

... anyone got any tips to smoke food with it or cool flavoured chips ?

No idea what that is but I use mesquite woods chips as a favourite on the BBQ. Hickory is also nice and I find apple wood a tad bland.
