Spoof, surely?

To be fair the fox clubbing is possibly not the most distressing part of the story:

“elaborating in a separate tweet that he was wearing a “too small green kimono””
Which is nice.

Since it is legal to kill foxes what exactly has he done wrong?
Posted on Twitter about it. Funny lot on there and somewhat left leaning. Outrage is very easy to come by on that platform and, combined with the "posh Tory - boo, hiss" outlook of Twitter, he was rather foolish to publish his morning's activities. Twitter is no more left leaning than this place is. Twitter is a series of bubbles, including many far right bubbles. Maugham isn't a Tory AFAIK. He's a tax lawyer who has done some useful public interest cases, but takes himself way too seriously and is wildly wrong on issues such as women's rights.

He'll claim that the Fox was a set up by the Brexit Party, Far right nazis or Russia or whatever other nugget of bulls
t currently floating round his brain
AFAIK he's broken the law by using a bat to kill the Fox. I would sincerely hope to see him prosecuted. Partly because he's apparently guilty. And partly because he's a complete gobs

who thinks his opinions are more important than everyone else's.
So he deserves it
