So I have a budgets of 20k ish, I did own a 135i before and it was amazing , had to sell due to wedding and house but now saved up so here I am. So I can get a nice C63 for around 18-20k so could do a small bit to it like exhaust, intake and Tune. I'll say it now I would probably never S/C as it just too much money. On the other hand I could get a topend 135i dct for 12-14k and get FMIC, hybrid turbo, full exhaust, suspension brakes and tune. I still trying to get a C63 test drive but the local one for sale are getting fun about test drives whats understandable but still annoying. Both car will be around the 11-12 model year

Buy a faster car. I’d be looking at an M car rather than tuning the 135 personally. Also, budget for running costs of a tweaked, otherwise AMG etc?

And how much is the hybrid turbo etc on the 135, likely £3-4k and another £5-6k to make it handle properly, £2k to make it stop....

So 26k already......

My OH had this choice 9 months ago.
There was a 335i coupe that also got her interest.
We now have a c63 on the drive and although she "wants something more practical", I don't think it's going anywhere.
Be aware of £70 of juice giving you a 200 mile range though.

I'd always say that starting with a properly sorted quick car is the better option, so if you started with a 235i (it's a better starting point suspension wise compared to the 135i) coupe:

Add an Intercooler Hybrid Turbo uprated fuel pump LSD Suspension & Brakes you'll be well north of 25k & with the C63 an exhaust & remap will see 510bhp+ at the crank.
