As per title, if you listen to music in the gym what do you use? I currently use a (v old) iPod and use standard wired headphones. It's manageable if say running on a treadmill or stationary cycle but as I tend to do both weights/resistance training and cardio need a wireless setup ideally..the wires also tend to get caught up which is annoying and could be a hazard too.
I have some Bose wireless headphones but they are too clunky to use in gym so curious what everyone else uses?

iPhone and beats Powerbeats pro. Those are the only wireless headphones that stay in place for me. Tried them all and these are the best for secure fit.

I got some for Xmas and they’re awesome, have used big fat skull candy over head things (sweaty head) and skull candy method wireless, ok but broken 2 sets through general use

Cheap over ear Bluetooth head phones designed for running and music just plays on phone. Brand is mpow. They hook over and don’t come off.

Edit these

Fancy some of the bone conducting ones so you can still hear traffic etc but cost five times as much.

Might look into the powerbeats, I have a number of different earphones including those with over the ear clips but struggle when doing outdoor runs..one keeps popping out the ear and after a while it's bl**dy annoying!

I have the jabra elites but keep getting ear infections with buds so currently use sony mx3 and they are certainly not too chunky to use in the gym,

Might look like a dick though but I just squat more to assert my male dominance.

I get on fine with these:

My wife uses them for road running too and they work for her. Not audiophile quality but perfectly fine for gym work, I just put my phone on the floor or apparatus.

AirPods, both for running and gym. Can't go wrong if you have an iPhone.

Creative outlier airs at the moment.

Wireless ear buds are the way to go in the gym.

Are full size wireless headphones too bulky for gym use? I ask as I got some Sennheisers for Xmas and was planning to rejoin the gym.

My last two phones haven’t had a headphone socket so wired headphones have been no option for me for a few years now (iPhone 7 and iPhone XR).

It’s been a blessing in disguise as it was an excuse to get onto the wireless earphone/headphone bandwagon, which has been great.

I have any amount of music on my iPhone so I just use that for music wherever I go, being wireless I can either leave it in my pocket or just stick it in the treadmill drinks holder when running etc

I’ve got a few different sets of Bluetooth earphones but my absolute favourites that I would recommend to anyone are:

https://www.cambridgeaudio.com/gbr/en/products/mel...

Absolutely totally superb in every respect and an absolute steal at £99.

I use them for everything. Commuting, holidays, walking, gym.

Amazing sound quality, stupidly good battery life, comfortable, block outside noise, don’t fall out when running.

I think it varies between people, for some it's fine. Personally I find it uncomfy to have headphones over my head but earphones are fine..when they stay in the ear that is!

Thanks for all the suggestions guys.

For those of you who don't have an iPhone/Apple iTunes account, what do you use to download music to the device/phone you use for music?

phone and jabra bluetooth earphones.
I do fancy headphones, though not sure which brand to go for. I like the retro look, my sweat won't dissolve them and they'd be better for blocking out outside noise without being too loud?

AirPod pros/iPhone for me, a bit pricey but the noise cancelling is great, great sound, great connectivity and most importantly for me they are an excellent fit.

I use Deezer for £10 a month (I think). Spotify is very similar.

I’ve been using Jabra Elite 65t active - £140 from John Lewis with 2 year guarantee. Best earphones I’ve ever owned. I run 100km a month in them and also lift weights twice a week. Would highly recommend. Any questions fire away. https://www.johnlewis.com/jabra-elite-65t-active-t...
